Debriefing KPIs and Charts

When the players finish a game, they access a Debriefing Page with the results for their team, and the individual result for the role they played.

Moreover, the instructor can use the Session Results page to easily compare the performance of each team, and the evolution through the rounds.

Supply Chain / Beer Game

Debriefing Page - Team KPIs

By default the players will see the below metrics, cumulated for their entire chain:

  • Total Cost,
  • Fill Rate (vs. end consumer),
  • Average Stock (all roles combined),
  • Backorders duration (number of weeks with at least one role in backorder)

Note that the On-time sales above refer only to the sales to the final consumer, at the retailer level.

When you have setup a unit sale price in one or more roles, then revenue is generated in the game. The cost is then replaced by profit (revenue - costs):

Debriefing Page - Individual KPIs

On its team debriefing page, players can also see how they performed individually as a role:

  • Cost,
  • %Shipped on time (individual level),
  • Average stock,
  • Average backorders,
  • Average orders

When playing with revenue, the cost is replaced by profit.

Session KPIs

You can display the below metrics when comparing teams with one another on the Session Results page:

  • Total Cost,
  • Fill Rate (vs. end consumer),
  • Average Stock

Session Charts

You can use the below charts to zoom on what happened during the game (such as the bullwhip effect) and use them as a base for discussion.

  • Game Evolution: comparison of metrics throughout the game (all roles combined),
  • Roles Evolution: comparison of role metrics throughout the game,
  • Orders vs. Sell-out: comparison of the roles orders and the final demand,
  • Comparison of the roles stocks and the final demand.

You may want  to focus your on one or two main KPIs or Charts, or modify the order they are presented to players.

This happens inside any Session or Template settings:

You can then choose the selection and order for the different types of KPIs:

  • Session KPIs: comparison of metrics for the various team after each game round,
  • Session Charts: different types of chart analysis to go deeper in the evolution of each game,
  • Team KPIs: on the player debriefing, the main team metrics shown at the top,
  • Individual KPIs: on the player debriefing, the comparaison of metrics for each role
